I like it!

Ok I like this in the fact that you are understandable and show your emotions pretty well. While the voices sound similar, I could still tell the characters apart. The important thing to remember about voice acting is the acting part, so good job there. Now since you mentioned an interest to develop new voices, just remember, slow and steady wins the race. I would recommend trying to identify your range. How low can you go? How high can you go? Then try to figure out where your voices will come from, head, throat, or chest... your normal talking is the chest. so that's a good place to start. All in all, I really like this piece and look forward to hearing more from you.

thanks man. i really appreciate the advice of a pro.... NOT TO SAY YOU'RE A STREET WALKER CUZ THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!
anyway, i'm really gonna TRY for that other submission. my patience ran out with this one cuz i got off work at 1030pm, didn't start recording til after 2am, didn't finish til after 630am and had to work the next morning. needless to say i was aggitated by the end. but thanks again, you're really an awesome person.

nice

You have (in my opinion) a good solid start with some of those voices. Some things I would probably work on is some mic technique. Such as when you know you are going to get louder, back away from the mic so that it doesn't distort your voice. Another thing is on your "plosives" your P's and B's and such you will either need to turn your head slightly so as to make the sound no travel directly to the mic or get yourself some sort of pop filter to nullify the pops it creates. All in all, this is a good starter and I for one am looking forward to seeing you improve as time goes on. Keep it up!

Ardhamon responds:

Thanks very much. I'm surprised that I didn't see this review until now but thanks.

As for the techniques, I'll try them out but I tend to worry that feed back will be an issure as you can hear in this recording. As for the pop filter, got one as well as a new mic. So, I'll be sure to try something out with this new microphone soon.

This is great!

I really like this sort of thing. You did a great job on this. I laughed at the "booms"... and was impressed overall at how well you put it all together. Great job!

RicePirate responds:

waaaaaay to nice :P

Very Nice!

I am certainly happy to see you partake in this, I think you're a shoe in for this role! Good luck and great job!

Gianni responds:

Thanks! This little contest is great fun. I'm enjoying listening to all of the submissions so far. Yours was awesome.

This is pure unrefined awesome! +1 internets to you sir. Thanks for looking out for your fans!

SirKillington responds:

And I do, i really do love my "fans." :D

Oh my...

I have to say that this made me laugh uncontrollably. The background personality and sounds effect were great too. Your script writing has always amazed me, you can come up with the funniest things in a relatively short amount of time. All in all, I really liked this submission and I wish you best of luck with Throbulator!

SirKillington responds:

Ha! Thank you, always a kind man Mrbipolar, hope ya get the one your going for too, and I'll be on the lookout to check it out :D

Spectacular

This is simply amazing! The quality, the voices, the music, everything worked so well together it was astonishing! I am thoroughly blown away! Great job to you and anjidu for the voices and awesome song by RampantMusik. just wow!

Gianni responds:

Thanks a bunch! You're so talented with flattery. Sometime I'll have to come up with another little thing for you to voice.

Very Nice

You have a good quality sound and I feel you have very good control over your voice. This demo is well rounded I believe in the fact that it is not too long and shows a god deal of your range so that people get the idea of what you are capable of. Very well done.

Don't mess with Zack...

An excellent demo. You have some good characterizations in there and I can tell you are emoting better by steering slowly away from the montone sound you got from your earlier works. Color me impressed. I can't wait to see some of these projects you are part of. Keep 'em coming!

Gianni responds:

I can always count on you to make me feel better about my skill level than I realistically should. So while I could blame you for making me delusional, I instead choose to thank you, because what a lovely delusion it is.

Very Nice

I especially love the dramatic background music. Great job as usual. I wish I could come up with things like this, your scripting is always so funny.

Everything is easier said than done! Except talking... that's about the same. Hat's off to Thoren for my EPIC portrait.
